Soft milk glazing appears to be slowly slipping over this multi-textured, Japanese ceramic, cup and saucer set - reminding us of icing on a petit cake - hence the name AisuTi (iced tea... get it ;) ).

The light grey-stone colour of the naked base clay peeks through the slip glaze - grounding its sweetness with its 'crumb'.

This piece brings together elegance and practicality. Note the hand-shaped spout on the saucer - which means it can also act as a little cookie or nibble dish or a sake cup or liquid condiment pourer - think chilli oil or boutique soy sauce for drizzling or even sesame seeds or sprinkles - perfectly topping the icing on the cake!
