The simple, elegant design of this handmade piece finished with a milk-glaze emanates a gentle purity however the textured ‘drape’ edging and broad base adds a strength of character. Although masquerading as ethereal and featherlight, its earthenware heart is revealed in the raw colour of its clay underside.

This little dish pines to be garnished with brightly coloured trinkets or plump red berries.
