We named this large, hand-crafted ceramic mug 'kuri' or chestnut, for obvious reasons.
And boy is the season ripe for this beauty (that's if you're in Australia right now where winter is setting in nicely). Can't you just imagine yourself snuggling up in front of the fire with a chestnut mug filled with something warm and soothing. Much easier than roasting chestnuts over the hearth.
I'd be fibbing if I said I didn't REALLY want to keep this one myself (being the freakish lover of winter - and chestnuts that I am) but hey... it's yours!
But you'd better hurry or I might change my mind.
This Tambayaki ware piece was purchased from an artists' coop near Kyoto.
