This pretty pendant was hand-made by a craftsperson in Kyoto using a piece of vintage ceramic - repurposing something that could no longer be used as it was and turning it into a little piece of wearable art.
The ceramic was originally hand-painted and features red and gold chrysanthemum and jade green leaves on a white background. It is plain white on the back and a slightly concave shape from the bowl it was originally part of.
Currently there is a black plastic ring temporarily fitted for hanging up until you find a suitable chain or fine piece of silky black ribbon or leather or velvet to string it with.
