We can't stop gazing at either of these two curvaceous ceramic tumblers which catch the light beautifully with their distinctive threads of silver and copper. Inside the highlights continue but in an exotic mottled form that looks more like the surface of the moon.... We've named them wakusei, or planets; for their glistening metallic bands.
The natural stoneware texture of these vessels is simply a pleasure to hold as you sip on tea (or sake, or whiskey.... ) and contemplate life, the universe or… whatever comes to mind.
