Japanese Postcard Album/Notebook

This smartly designed and compact notebook is both unique and versatile as it has 12 accordion pages (double faced, front and back - 50 faces) and could be used for anything from a notebook or postcard display album to a sketchbook/ diary. The sturdy alpine green hardcover is bounded by an elegant fabric covered elastic, a leather embossed stitched clasp featuring the letter 'A' of the maker and pen loop. The pages are of a light colour, slightly glossed paper of a robust thickness (think art paper).

Designed by a noted Kyoto postcard stationery gallery, this album/ notebook is based upon a 'Shuincho' or 'red stamp book', traditionally used by visitors and/ or pilgrims to record their visits to notable temples and shrines, usually in the form of red ink stamps and had-drawn calligraphy from a monk or priest.
